...she is most difficult to catch. Art critics and buyers find it difficult to determine whether a painting is real art? They try very hard to understand but are not always successful. As the cliché goes, Van gogh was a poor artist for his whole living life. Most often art escapes definition. Art is beyond any medium that may be used to pursue it. All mediums aspire to art. Writers, painters, actors, fashion designers, film stars (?), potters, singers, musicians, even fighters (martial artists) and mediators ... all call themselves artists. Yet each one is but one whore in Art's vast harem of mediums. |

| I have been interested in this kind of Art, like a man in love with a spectacular woman, for as long as I can remember. Arjuna is a passionate student of art and life. I have pursued her across mediums and art forms ranging from painting, drumming, computer programming, kung fu, business ventures and deep zen meditation retreats. I have never cared for traditional boundaries and social mores. Arjuna's way is not the less traveled road, it is the Untravelled road! the scrappy free style beatnick street fighting approach to pursuing art and life. I am a proud graduate of the venerable art school of reality, in the ivy league university of hard knocks. I have made my own path, to chase my dream girl through the smoky magical glens of this universe. This chaotic, down and dirty approach to art and my disdainful disregard of convention has shown me spectacular vistas and treated me to a mysterious peek at secret parts of our universe. | |

You may be wondering why you are being subject to this discourse on the “philosophy” of art in a section entitled “artist profile”. There is a method to this madness. If art and the artist are one thing, then to describe art is to describe the artist. So I am describing the art that I am one with. |
I believe that art is very close to who we are. We are intimate with art as much as we are intimate with our body. She is much closer to us than we can imagine. In fact she is we. This is why we revere her so. Art is everywhere from our smallest cells to the largest stars. This is why it is so difficult for us to see her. We are blind to real art. Art is built into this universe, or to be more precise, our entire universe, the 10,000 myriad objects are built using the principles of art. Since the builder and the built are one, art IS the universe and its creator. The conclusion seems a bit shocking and may tickle the fanatics a bit. To put it simply, this logic amounts to a simple fact Art is God.
